MY STORY

MY WORST DAY

BECAME MY

FIRST CHAPTER.

From 167 kg, shame and self-doubt to discipline, freedom and a mission to help others transform.

THE REBUILD BEGAN

BEFORE THE TRANSFORMATION

I REMEMBER

MY

CHILDHOOD

THROUGH

WEIGHT.

Some people remember their childhood through games, birthdays or family trips. I remember mine through weight.

I was born overweight. As a child, I believed my body was my destiny. I never imagined that one day I could look different. I accepted the idea that I would always be “the big boy.” It was not a choice; it was simply the only future I could see.

As I grew older, my body became heavier, but the real weight was inside my mind. Every mirror became a judge. Every photo became something I wanted to avoid. Every simple task felt like climbing a mountain while carrying invisible chains.

By the time I reached 167 kg, I was no longer fighting only fat. I was fighting shame, fear and the quiet voice inside me that kept saying, “This is who you are. You will never change.”

THE DAY EVERYTHING CHANGED

FRIDAY

28.12.2018

THE HARDEST

FALL.

Winter had covered the streets of Russia with thick snow. I was standing in the city center waiting for a bus. When it arrived, I tried to step inside. My foot slipped on the ice.

In one terrifying second, I lost my balance. I fell—and somehow ended up underneath the bus.

My weight trapped me beneath the vehicle. I struggled to get out, but every attempt failed. Fifteen long minutes passed. The road was blocked. People gathered. Some stared. Some laughed. Others looked at me with painful pity.

“Every insult felt heavier than the bus itself. Those voices did not hit my ears. They hit my soul.”

THE PROMISE

THE SNOW

MELTED.

SO DID THE

EXCUSES.

I finally stood up, covered with snow and embarrassed beyond words. But while walking home, I understood that the hardest fall of my life was not falling under that bus.

The hardest fall had happened years earlier, when I accepted that I would never change.

Before-and-after comparison of Mohammed Fayiz’s weight-loss and fitness transformation

01

I would build a body that represented discipline instead of excuses.

02

I would become the person I had needed as a scared, overweight child.

03

I would prove that pain can become power and humiliation can become fuel.

THE REBUILD

ONE DECISION.

REPEATED DAILY.

JAN 1, 2019

I WALKED INTO A GYM

I was not confident. I was not strong. I was not motivated every day. I was simply someone who refused to quit.

THE PROCESS

I LEARNED DISCIPLINE

Every workout was a conversation between the old version of me and the person I wanted to become. Every healthy meal became an act of self-respect.

THE HARD DAYS

I STOOD UP AGAIN

There were days when progress disappeared and moments when I wanted to quit. I remembered the snow, the laughter and the feeling of lying beneath that bus. So I stood up again. Again. And again.

TODAY

I REBUILT MY IDENTITY

The transformation was never about visible abs or bigger muscles. It was proof that the strongest muscle is the mind that refuses to surrender.

72 KILOGRAMS LIGHTER

I DID NOT JUST

LOSE FAT.

I REBUILT MY IDENTITY.

WHY I COACH

I KNOW WHAT IT

I KNOW WHAT IT

FEELS LIKE TO

BELIEVE

CHANGE IS

IMPOSSIBLE.

I know what it feels like to avoid mirrors. I know what it feels like to smile while hiding pain. And I also know what it feels like to finally become free.

This is why I became a fitness and nutrition coach. My ISSA certification gives me the professional framework to coach safely and effectively. My own journey gives me the empathy to understand the person behind the goal.

“MY STORY DID NOT BEGIN WHEN I BECAME FIT. IT BEGAN THE MOMENT I REFUSED TO LET MY WORST DAY BECOME MY FINAL CHAPTER.”

— Mohamed Fayiz
